Lighting Analysts was founded in 1999 by Mr Chris Jackson. In addition to running Lighting Analysts, Chris is also a research fellow at The Bartlett, University College London, running the UK’s first variable luminance artificial sky since 1999; aiding in the accurate analysis of natural lighting conditions within physical scale models.

Chris has worked in the architectural lighting industry since 1992 where he started his career as a lighting designer before moving into lighting manufacturing. In 1997 Chris undertook his MSc: Light & Lighting masters degree at The Bartlett, UCL graduating in 1999. In 2000 Chris was named Young Lighter of the Year by the Society of Light & Lighting being awarded for best written paper. Later that year he won the Lighplay competition as part of the Total Lighting exhibition at the NEC.

Over the years Chris has continue to focus on his passion for light, teaching, researching and consulting on a variety of topics including daylight, lighting design, light simulation, analysis and visualisation.
